My Father’s Death Inspired My Hit Song – Teni
Popstar and rave of the moment, Teni has given her fans insight on what, who inspired her hit song.
Now it’s down to Teni’s father, Simeon Apata. People who knew the late civil fighting veteran have described him as a courageous man whose dyingcreated a huge vacuum in his instantaneous surroundings of Isolo, Lagos. It is stated that when he was once alive, he confronted armed robbers and made positive the place was once a protected haven.
Unfortunately, he was once later murdered by means of unknown gunmen on January 8, 1995.
Although Apata died many years ago, his legacies nonetheless live on. His school, Apata Memorial Schools, in Isolo, managed via his three wives, is still thriving. Also, two of his daughters, Teniola and Niniola, have taken the Nigerian track industry through storm.
As the headline artiste of the monthly Industry Nite tournament at Hardrock Café, Victoria Island, Lagos, Teni published that her father’s deathinspired her hit song, Wait. She said,
“Wait tells the love story between my mum and dad. I acquired the inspiration when my dad exceeded and my mum was once crying, wishing he may want to have stayed back.”
Teni additionally referred to that it took her seven years to graduate and her younger sisters executed their research before her. She said,
“I recorded Uyo Meyo for my commencement ceremony because it took me seven years to graduate. My sisters graduated before me; so, it was once a big deal for me on the day I graduated. I did the tune for myself and every body who hopes to reap something.”
