2019 Elections: Friday Declared Public Holiday By FG
Ahead of Saturdays February 23rd presidential and parliamentary elections the Federal Government has supposed Friday public holiday excluding bankers.
So come Friday February 22nd, there’s a public holiday for everyone but bankers and those providing and those offering essential services wideness the nation.
The Minister of Interior, Lt.- Gen.Abdulrahman Dambazau on Wednesday revealed this via a statement;
“Federal Government declares Friday 22, February 2019 as work-free day. Those providing essential duties and bankers are excluded.
The work-free day is to enable citizens return to their poling units for the reschedule Presidential & National Assembly elections.
Security agencies have been directed to ensure safety of lives & property before, during & without the unstipulated election.”
